You are always creating your reality whether we like it or not. It is said that most of us create by default. That is to say, we act and react according to what we have been told, or by watching others, and this is so true. In this way most of us tend to follow the norm.
Sometimes we make choices that are from our own ideas and typically they don’t follow the norm. Ask yourself “What would I attempt if I knew I could not fail?” and you just may come up with your own wonderful idea. I will remind you of this at the end of this blog entry, but for now look at this crazy scenario. Even though I made it up, it is one possibility.
If you want to be a medical doctor you have to go to medical school. That is obvious because it is required by many governments so you go to school.
But what if you wanted to make money by living in a small tree house, and not coming out, for 6 months? You have not heard of anyone that had ever done that. People may tell you that it is a stupid idea, and that you could never make any money doing such a stupid thing as that. Well for them that would be their reality for if they did try they would surly fail.
But you have your own idea. You do your research and find that many groups are interested in what happens to people when they are in solitary confinement for long periods of time. Most of the studies were done with people that are in prisons and other places where they don’t really want to be. However information on solitary confinement where a person does want to be is severely lacking.
So you contact the agencies and groups and tell them what you want to do. They make a few suggestions about what they want you to report on and that you update your blog at least twice a day. You tell them that you want as many people that want to, to have access to your blog. You also say that, when the six months are up you what them to post their findings on your blog for all to read.
You also ask them to place your links in their websites so many other people can also read your blog and they agree. You make your blog available Free to the groups that are funding your venture, and to anyone who wants to pay $5.00 a month to track your progress with the final reports of the funding groups to be added at the end of the six months.
You happily go to your tree house. You start entering your thoughts in your blog. You enjoy the meals that are brought to you by a rope and pulley system. You are allowed to surf the World Wide Web but not communicate with anyone, not even by email. You stay there for the full six months and during this time you grow; emotionally, spiritually, and although you don’t know it yet your bank account has grown as 20,000 viewers have signed up to view your blog, and that means $5.00 * 20,000 = $100,000.00 just for writing about what was on your mind.
After the six months passed you know yourself better than most know themselves. Your personal growth skyrocketed and you emerged triumphant for accomplishing what others thought stupid and impossible. And you were paid handsomely for your efforts.
There are many realities that you can create and I will be sharing ways to accomplish achieving the goals that you want and not the default ones that are keeping you from Getting What You Do Want.
There are so many possibilities. Many say that “If you can think something, you can create it.” I think this is true, even though it may take more than yourself to do it, or take more time than your lifetime to complete (such as traveling to a nearby galaxy).
